Censorship is the act of suppressing sections of media that is deemed objectionable on moral or political grounds. The act of censoring media is something that happens in every country to varying degrees. As traditional media evolves, so must these systems of censorship. New techniques must be put in place for the new digital age as the Internet becomes the first worlds main point of information. This report will explore how Internet censorship has been implemented globally, and what some of the consequences and benefits that have arisen from this. This report will include varying case studies of countries and websites who implement censorship, and interviews with individuals who interact with these issues within there industries.
